Female ‘spy’ killed in Bajaur

KHAR: Unidentified militants kidnapped and killed a woman from Inayat village in Khar headquarters of Bajaur Agency, official sources said on Wednesday.

The body of the unidentified woman was found dumped besides a road near Khar. A note was found with the body, reading, “She was killed because she was an American spy and a prostitute and those found involved in such activities will face the same fate.”

Sources said the woman had apparently been strangled, as there were rope marks on her neck. In another incident, unidentified gunmen killed a former Levies official and injured his brother in Bajaur Agency on Wednesday.

Officials said armed men killed former Levies hawaldar Namoos Khan and injured his brother Kawos Khan at Manudara village, in the Salalzai area of Bajaur Agency.

The political administration has started investigation of the incident. Staff Report/AFP
